Bad News Travels Fast

Daft Punk, Pharrell & Nile Rodgers TEASER SNL Ad

They say, "Bad News Travels Fast." Well I've been traveling very fast and my news is very bad. But in this case when I say bad, I mean good - like when James Brown says bad - in fact, I mean Super Good, like James Brown’s "Super Bad."

For the last few months I've been working with many great artists on some Super Bad (good) records. The first to surface is Daft Punk's "Get Lucky."

Since I was attacked by aggressive prostate cancer a little over two years ago, I've become wholly immersed in my recovery, projects, concerts, recordings and charities.

The commitments have ramped up, but it's completely manageable for me. In fact, it merely reflects the pace of my normal life. Ever since I was 5 1/2 years old I only sleep an average of 3 to 4 hours a night. That said, I've not been able to write my blog as often as I'd like because of my crazy travel schedule.

I'll try and keep you more informed because many of my tactile and e-family are battling cancer. I'm aware that cancer can strike any of us at any time. I believe that we must marshal our inner force and march on as best we can.

In keeping with my philosophy of the last couple of years, I'll have many soulful projects that are "Super Bad!" And as they say, "Bad News Travels Fast."
