フォラミ、僕そしてキム

僕は昨夜、"Good Times" を演奏する僕、フォラミそしてキムのコピーを受け取った。僕らは『プロムの夜』というツアーの一員として交響楽団と共演していた。これはドイツのドルトムントで録音されたものだ。

音楽を一緒に演奏している時、（演奏者同士が）如何に近くなるかというのは驚くべきことだ。何故ならそれは協力的な取り組みだからだ。CHICの音楽を解釈しているクラッシックの演奏家は本当に興味深い。それは僕が常に信じている何か:音楽は僕らが皆本質的に理解している世界共通語だという事 - を実証している。

ずっと昔に僕らとステージで踊った、僕らの音楽を押し上げたハードコアな地下クラブの中を見たこともない人々を見る（彼等と一緒に舞台に立つ）事は、僕の心を暖かくする。

Io, con Folami e Kim

Ieri sera, mi hanno inviato una copia di un video di me, Folami, e Kim, mentre suoniamo "Good Times". Eravamo accompagnati da una orchestra sinfonica, come parte del nostro tour con Night of the Proms. Qui eravamo a Dortmund, in Germania.

E' stupefacente come ci si avvicina, quando si fa musica insieme, perché è uno sforzo cooperativo. E' interessante vedere musicisti di musica classica, iterpretare le musiche di CHIC. Ciò dimostra una cosa nella quale ho sempre creduto, ed è che la Musica è un linguaggio universale che comprendiamo tutti.

Mi scalda il cuore, guardare questa gente che non ha mai visto l'interno di un club hardcore underground, che pompa la nostra musica e Balla Sul Palco Con Noi.

Me and Daft Punk at my NYC Apartment

I had to grab an early morning train because I wanted to spend as much time with Daft Punk as possible. We had to make up for years of lost time and missed meetings in the past. During the meeting, Thomas said, "Nile, everything has worked out perfectly to bring us to this moment."

We had a great day. They were at my New York apartment most of the day. Things went so well we didn't want the day to end but I had to do a string of interviews for my upcoming CHIC gigs in Australia. After doing my interviews I listened to My Favorite Daft Punk Records.

Tuve que tomar un tren temprano por la mañana porque quería pasar tiempo mas tanto posible con Daft Punk. Tuvimos que compensar por los años de reuniones perdidas en el pasado. Durante la reunión, Tomás dijo: "Nile, todo ha funcionado a la perfección para traernos a este momento".

Tuvimos un gran día. Estaban en mi apartamento en Nueva York la mayor parte del día. Las cosas iban tan bien que no queríamos parar, pero tenía que hacer una serie de entrevistas para mis próximos conciertos con CHIC en Australia. Después de hacer mis entrevistas escuché Mis Discos Favoritos de Daft Punk.

Tive que ir bem cedo no comboio/trem porque queria passar tanto tempo quanto possível com os Daft Punk. Tínhamos que recuperar anos e anos de tempo perdido e encontros gorados do passado. Durante o nosso encontro, o Thomas disse, "Nile, tudo funcionou na perfeição de modo a que nos encontrássemos neste momento."

Tivemos um dia fantástico. Estivemos a maior parte do dia no meu apartamento de Nova Iorque. As coisas correram tão bem, que não queríamos que o dia acabasse, mas eu tinha uma data de entrevistas para fazer sobre os próximos concertos dos CHIC na Austrália. Depois das entrevistas, fui ouvir Os Meus Discos Favoritos Dos Daft Punk.

J'ai du prendre un train très tot ce matin car j'ai voulu passer le plus de temps possible avec Daft Punk. Nous avons du rattraper tout le temps perdu et les rendez-vous ratés du passé. Pendant notre réunion, Thomas a dit "Nile, tout s'est parfaitement mis en place pour que ce moment arrive jusqu'à nous."

Nous avons passé une belle journée. Ils sont resté quasiment toute la journée dans mon appartement de New York. Les choses se passaient tellement bien que nous n'avions pas envie de voir arriver la fin de journée mais j'avais toute une série d'interviews programmées pour mes concerts à venir en Australie avec CHIC. Après mes interviews j'ai écouté mes Disques Préférés de Daft Punk.

僕は早朝の列車を捕まえなくてはいけなかった。何故なら、僕はダフト・パンクと出来るだけ多くの時間を過ごしたかったのだ。僕らは失った時間と、過去に逃した出会いを取り戻しさなくてはいけなかったのだ。会っている間、トーマスは ”ナイル、すべてが完璧に運び、僕らにこの時を運んできたんだ” と言った。

僕らは素晴らしい一日を過ごした。彼らはその日ニューヨークの僕のアパートに殆どいた。物事はうまくいき、僕らはその日が終わって欲しくなかった。だが、僕はオーストラリアでの来たるCHICのギグの為の一連のインタビューをこなさなくてはいけなかった。インタビューの後、僕は僕の好きなダフト・パンクのレコードを聴いた。

Dovevo prendere un treno, presto la mattina, perché volevo passare più tempo possibile con i Daft Punk. Dovevamo recuperare il tempo e gli incontri mancati del passato. Durante questo incontro, Thomas ha detto, "Nile, tutto ha funzionato alla perfezione per portarci a questo momento."

Abbiamo avuto una fantastica giornata. Siamo stati nel mio appartamento, a New York, quasi tutto il giorno. E' andato tutto talmente bene, che non volevamo che finisse la giornata, ma avevo da fare una serie di interviste per il mio prossimo tour con CHIC, in Australia. Dopo le interviste, ho ascoltato I Miei Dischi Preferiti Dei Daft Punk.

Heute nahm ich einen ganz frühen Zug in die Stadt, denn ich wollte so viel Zeit wie möglich mit Daft Punk verbringen. Nach all den Jahren mussten wir endlich alles nachholen, was wir bisher bei unseren Treffen immer versäumt hatten. Während unserem Treffen sagte Thomas zu mir "Nile, diesmal hat wirklich alles perfekt gepasst".

Wir verbrachten einen tollen Tag zusammen. Die beiden blieben fast den ganzen Tag in meinem NYC Apartment. Alles lief so fantastisch, dass wir am liebsten noch weiter gemacht hätten, aber ich musste noch eine Reihe Interviews für meine anstehenden Auftritte mit CHIC in Australien geben. Nachdem ich mit meinen Interviews fertig war, hörte ich meine Lieblingsplatten von Daft Punk.

Today I'm going to spend some time with Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo better known as Daft Punk. We've briefly met before when they were doing some sort of listening party in NYC back in the 90's. The scene was chaotic and we didn't really have a chance to have an artistic connection, except they did tell me that they were sorry about my former partner Bernard Edward's death. And they dug CHIC. The feeling is mutual.

I dig Daft Punk. When I first heard "Da Funk" I thought it was one of the grooviest records I'd heard in a long time. The song "One More Time" came out when I was on a trip to Paris and I visited Virgin records.

I almost hooked up with the guys then but I don't remember what went wrong. "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" I simply thought was one of the coolest records of the year when I heard it.

After all these years of almost hooking up, finally Daft Punk Is Hanging at My House.
