僕とデイヴィッド
昨日、デイヴィッド・ボウイは65歳になった。そして、僕は生きている事が嬉しい。これら両方とも素晴らしい事だ! 僕は数え切れない程の医学的緊急事態に遭ったが、殆どが行き過ぎたロックンロールなライフスタイルに起因している。
僕は17年前にドラッグを止めたが、去年進行性の癌に襲われた。僕は生きている事に本当に感謝している。
デイヴィッドと僕には沢山の、もう僕らと共にいない共通の音楽仲間がいる。僕は今、彼らのうちの何人かのことをよく考えている。だって、昨日デイヴィッドが65歳になったのだから。
デイヴィッド、スティーヴィー・レイ・ヴォーン、そして僕 - 僕らは初めLet's Danceで一緒に仕事をし、僕はスティーヴィーの最後のプロジェクト、The Vaughan Brothersをプロデュースした。

Io e David
Ieri, David ha compiuto 65 anni, ed io sono felice di essere vivo. Entrambi i fatti sono stupefacenti! Ho vissuto innumerevoli emergenze mediche, la maggior parte causate da uno stile di vita Rock-N-Roll, esagerata.
Ho abbandonato la droga, 17 anni fa, ma l'anno scorsom sono stato colpito dal cancro, e sono grato di essere ancora vivo.
David ed io abbiamo condiviso molti colleghi nella musica, che però non sono più tra noi. Intanto, rifletto su alcuni di loro, perchè Ieri, David Ha Compiuto 65 Anni.

Once Is Not Enough
At the Westport train station going to see "Once"
Last night I went to New York's East Village see a show called "Once". It's based on the Academy Award winning film "Once". A musician in the show is my old friend Rob Preuss.
Rob used to be the Music Director of Mama Mia and he also used to be in a Canadian band I produced called Spoons. While doing the Spoons in Toronto, I met the band INXS and produced "Original Sin." Rob and I have been friends ever since.
"Once" is supposed to be amazing but I never saw the show because last night was the one time it got cancelled. The show's lead "Guy" had gotten sick. I took a one hundred-twenty mile round trip from Connecticut to an empty set. The show's moving to Broadway and I'll attempt to see it again. Once Is Not Enough.

En la estación de tren de Westport en via a ver "Once"
Anoche fui al East Village en Nueva York a ver un show llamado "Once". Se basa en la película también llamada "Once". Un músico en el show es mi viejo amigo Rob Preuss.
Rob era el director musical de Mamma Mia y también era miembro de una banda Canadiense que produje llamada Spoons. Durante la producción del álbum de Spoons en Toronto, me encontré con la banda INXS y produje "Original Sin". Rob y yo hemos sido amigos desde ese instante.
Me dicen que "Once" es increíble, pero no lo pude ver ayer porque la única vez que fue cancelado fue anoche. El principal del show se enfermó. Me tomé un viaje de ciento y veinte millas desde Connecticut a un conjunto vacío. El show se va para Broadway y voy a tratar de verlo de nuevo. Una Vez No Basta.
